In celebration of all things local and to champion the spirit of giving back, our team of volunteers at BreadTalk Group have concluded this year’s LampPost Project in collaboration with DDB Group Singapore with a grateful heart!
The entire process of this charity campaign started with seniors and less- privileged Singaporeans sewing the Furoshiki cloths upcycled from National Day Banners, followed by volunteers from BreadTalk Group taking their time off to pack a selection of our handpicked local favourites and merchandise, and finally distributing these Furoshiki charity packages door-to-door to our senior citizens at Ang Mo Kio.
One hundred units of Furoshiki charity packages had been donated tovarious families under Ang Mo Kio FSC Community Services. The proceeds will support the sewers and will also be donated to Community Chest and their elderly homes.
The reusable LampPost Furoshiki supports global efforts to reduce packaging and invest in more sustainable methods of packaging and transporting groceries. This initiative not only champions upcycling but was also a meaningful way for us to give back and support those in need, spreading the National Day joy.
We are heartened to see the smiles of the senior citizens in our community who received these packages and we sincerely hope that the LampPost Project had made an impact in the community.
