Sharing what's close to our hearts
It’s not just all work and no play at the BreadTalk Group. We support our employees’ involvement in the cause that is closest to their hearts, whether it is participating in events initiated by the different brands under the group, or small outings to volunteer with fellow colleagues and bond outside of work. In addition to providing paid volunteer leave, we have forged strong partnerships with various welfare organizations to provide meaningful volunteering opportunities for our staff with diverse skill sets to contribute in their own ways. Pushing Boundaries
Meng Han loved sketching as a child and has transformed his passion and ideas into real-life concepts. A graduate from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Meng leads a team of creatives at the Bakery Division, providing creative direction for the Bakery Division’s wide-range of dining concepts – from ensuring the right art direction to be executed for a photography set up to working on quirky designs to be executed that puts a smile on consumers’ faces. Take a closer look at his work the next time you pop by any BreadTalk!

Imparting Knowledge
Lin-Jie, as she is affectionately known, started her career as a Coffee Master herself with the very first Toast Box store at Wisma Atria in 2005. Her warm personality and professionalism have drawn many of her team mates who look to her for advice. Lin-Jie dedicates her success to the numerous opportunities the Group has provided her to fuel her coffee passion, where she has travelled to various countries to attend courses and upgrade her skills.
Her strong passion in coffee brewing at Toast Box reflects her commitment to deliver consistent quality to her customers. Having been with the company for the last 10 years, she has trained many of her "disciples" at the 80 toast box stores in Singapore.

Building career-advancing skills
You Lee joined BreadTalk as a Junior Customer Service Assistant in 2010. 5 years later, You Lee is now the youngest Branch Manager at BreadTalk.
Many of her customers have grown to become her friends over the years. She recalls the satisfaction she felt when she managed to help a customer who accidentally dropped a customised birthday cake for her son’s birthday party with another personalised cake on the house.
Having good mentors along the way has spurred her on in the Food & Beverage industry, which can be tough at times but definitely rewarding!

Approved Training Centre
The BreadTalk Group Academy was awarded the status of an Approved Training Centre by the ITE on 1 April 2015 – making us the first external institution that offers NITEC in Pastry and Baking.
Management Associate Programme (MAP)
MAP is a career acceleration scheme specially conceived for high-performing individuals looking to supercharge their career within the Group. Aimed to attract fresh minds from established tertiary institutions, MAP has indeed taken off and will now be extended to nurture a pipeline of internal talents from within the organisation. Subsequent intakes will include handpicked potentials from across all levels and roles within the Group – and it could be you! Being nominated by your supervisor, as the cream of the crop, will place you under an intensive training, mentorship and immersion programme, which will identify your inclinations and catapult your career in management. This is part of our continual commitment in developing our next generation of leaders to bring the BreadTalk Group to greater heights in future.
SkillsFuture Earn & Learn
An industry leader in the burgeoning Food & Beverage sector, the BreadTalk Group has unveiled plans to embrace the new SkillsFuture Earn and Learn Programme, part of the bigger SkillsFuture national movement (set up by the Ministry of Manpower) aimed at empowering every Singaporean. Similar to our in-house Management Associate Programme (MAP), trainees from Polytechnics under this initiative will hone their technical skills over a 15-month internship. Under the tutelage of mentors who possess a wealth of industry experience, these lucky few will also have a chance to go on a 3-month overseas attachment and eventually take on specialised roles as part of our Research & Development (R&D) and Quality Assurance (QA) teams.
