At the BreadTalk Group, we believe in giving back to the communities that we are a part of. On 4 February 2022, over 200 staff volunteers and senior management from the various divisions came together to brings festive joy & cheer to Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital, Realm of Tranquility and Willing Hearts.

The entire process of this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) started with volunteers from BreadTalk Group taking their time off to pack 1800 goodie bags filled with a selection of our handpicked local favourites and merchandise such as BreadTalk Chinese New Year cookies, Toast Box coffee sachets, peanut butter, Hainanese kaya spread and more.

In support of Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital, members of the Group’s senior management, including Mr. Cheng William (Group COO), delivered 1100 BreadTalk Group goodie bags and 420 packed meals from Din Tai Fung to staff and residents.

In collaboration with Realm of Tranquility 清一阁, our volunteers went door-to-door distribution at 13 estates island-wide to distribute 700 BreadTalk Group goodie bags and packed meals from Food Republic and Din Tai Fung. We are heartened to see the smiles of the beneficiaries in our community who received these goodie bags and we sincerely hope that the initiative made an impact in the community.

Together with Willing Hearts, our group of 25 staff volunteered at the soup kitchen that prepares, cooks and distributes about 6,500 daily meals. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of activity in the kitchen, our volunteers assisted in the preparation of ingredients, packing of lunch boxes, cleaning and washing of pots and pans.

In line with one of BreadTalk Group’s core values of ‘Giving Back’, it was a meaningful and foodfilling morning for our staff, spreading holiday joy and bringing smiles to our community.
